Risk evaluation of tailings dam-break based on the extension matter-element model

As one of the most concerned risk sources mining enterprises, safety and stability tailings storage facility (TSF) is closely connected to operating activity, surrounding ecological environment, residents' lives properties safety. In order evaluate dam break, extension matter-element model has been applied in work. First, evaluation indicator system was established, included 3 levels, 4 criteria 17 individual indicators. Next, weight each computed by using analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method. Then, classical field, controlled field closeness function within were determined considering TSF height volume, principle maximum membership degree improved closeness. Finally, a case study illustrated demonstrate effectiveness model. The result indicated that target operated at relatively lower level, which accurately reflected real situation. This work can provide reasonable reference for break evaluation.
